Zusammenfassung: | Monthly samples of water and zooplankton were taken from three different stations in Hoyran Region of Egirdir Lake (Turkey) during the period from April 2005 to March 2006. In the result of this one-year study, 35 species belonging to Rotifera were determined. Of these, Lepadella (Heterolepadella) ehrenbergi, Anuraeopsis fissa, Squatinella rostrum and Lecane ludwigi, are the new records for the Rotifera fauna of the Egirdir Lake. The characteristics of the stations in distribution of the species are important. The species frequencies are: Polyarthra vulgaris (12 month), Keratella cochlearis (9 months), Gastropus sp. (7 months) in first station, Polyarthra vulgaris (9 months), Synchaeta sp. (8 months), Lepadella ovalis (8 months) in second station, Polyarthra vulgaris (8 months), L. ovalis (8 months), Synchaeta sp. (8 months), Trichotria pocillum (8 months) in third station. The dominant species were: P. vulgaris (631.066 org/m super(3)), Asplanchna priodonta (61.211 org/m super(3)), Synchaeta sp. (50.465 org/m super(3)) in the first station; P. vulgaris (237.901 org/m super(3)), Ascomorpha sp. (42.872 org/m3), Trichocerca similis (38.803 org/m super(3)) in the second station, Anuraeopsis fissa (862.930 org/m super(3)), P. vulgaris (270.008 org/m super(3)), L. ovalis (57.217 org/m super(3)) in the third station. Moreover, the effects of physical and chemical changes of the water on Rotifera were investigated. Temperature, chlorophyll-a and organic matter were determined to be important parameters affecting the distribution of Rotifera. |
