Zusammenfassung:Based on the nursing journal L'infirmiere du Quebec, published by the College of Nurses of Quebec from 1993 to 2003, this article examines the relationship between elites and bedside nurses and especially their troubled relationship around working conditions. It allows identifying the ways in which bedside nurses and their working conditions were hidden in the columns of this journal. It also shows that while propagating a scientific vision of nursing that meets the criteria of modernity, the magazine promoted an elitist approach based on excellence and innovation in the profession.
