Zusammenfassung:We report a simple yet effective method for processing lignocellulosic biomass by combined wet-type ultrafine bead milling and enzymatic saccharification at pH 5.0 and 50 degree C. This generates nanoscale particles that allow close to 70% saccharification of cellulose and recovery of a glassy, flame retardant, and transparent non-deteriorated lignin-rich film.
