Zusammenfassung: | In the past few years, some cases of vascular pathology in HIV-positive patients treated with highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) have been reported. We describe a case of severe and premature vascular disease, occurring in a young female patient, multiexperienced for HAART, who is part of a cohort of patients followed for drug-induced toxicity. After 6 years of treatment she suffered a bilateral carotid stenosis; the only risk factors were cigarette smoking and hypercholesterolemia. |
