Highlights • The clinical entity of therapy-related CML (TR-CML) is investigated. • Patient characteristics between de novo CML and TR-CML groups are similar. • Patients with TR-CML could achieve good treatment response with TKI. • Clinical outcome is favorable when treated with TKI.
