Zusammenfassung:In this paper we review the geographical distribution and host relationships of the ticks of mammals in Ireland from published records and the data collected by the late G. A. Walton. There are six species: Argas vespertilionis, Ixodes hexagaonus, I. canisuga, I. ricinus, I. trianguliceps, and I. vespertilionis. A database (Paradox for Windows V.5) incorporating these and more recent records has been complied. The maps were drawn using DMap.
