Rapid Health Technology Assessment Of New Medicines: Lessons From 15 Years Experience In Scotland

To achieve rapid assessment and minimize the health care system resources required to undertake assessment, the SMC process is based on review of a written submission prepared by the manufacturer of each new medicine to demonstrate the clinical value and cost-effectiveness of the medicine.
