From Solutions to Surfaces: A Novel Molecular Imprinting Method Based on the Conformational Changes of Boronic-Acid-Appended Poly(L-lysine)

The dominant solution‐phase conformation of a polymer can be fixed to a surface (see scheme). Boronic acid appended poly(L‐lysine) assumes different conformations in the presence of D‐glucose or D‐fructose. When the polymer–glucose complex is anchored to a gold surface, an imprinted interface with “...

Zusammenfassung:The dominant solution‐phase conformation of a polymer can be fixed to a surface (see scheme). Boronic acid appended poly(L‐lysine) assumes different conformations in the presence of D‐glucose or D‐fructose. When the polymer–glucose complex is anchored to a gold surface, an imprinted interface with “molecular memory” for glucose over fructose can be prepared.
