Combining multispectral image information using color

We humans can distinguish thousands of colors, which is why color is an easy way to increase the amount of information in an image. Thomas C. Strubbings and Herbert Hutter of the Vienna University of Technology (Austria) show how different approaches to color fusion--the art of combining several images to create a single, information-rich color image--can be used for analytical applications.
