ON THE PRODUCTION OF NEW PARTICLES IN THE LITHUANIAN COASTAL BOUNDARY LAYER

Zusammenfassung: | Coastal zones create regions, where particles are formed together from sea and land (natural and/or anthropogenic) sources and from gas-to-particle conversion. Specific meteorological conditions, which predominant in coastal zone can influence aerosol particles characteristics (O'Dowd et al., 1999, Despiau et al., 1996). Relative humidity changes in atmosphere control aerosol formation and change, as well efficiency of heterogeneous reactions (Ulevicius et al., 1994). The goal of this study was to investigate particle formation and growth in the Lithuanian coastal boundary layer. |
