Zusammenfassung:A 50-year-old man from India, with a remote history of alcohol use, was admitted to this hospital because of abnormal liver function test results, anemia, and acute kidney injury. A diagnosis was made. Presentation of Case Dr. Nneka N. Ufere (Medicine): A 50-year-old man was admitted to this hospital because of elevated levels of serum aminotransferases, hyperbilirubinemia, anemia, and acute kidney injury. The patient had been well until 6 days before admission, when fatigue and malaise developed. The next day, he had multiple episodes of nonbloody, nonbilious vomiting, accompanied by abdominal distention and diffuse abdominal pain. He felt feverish, but his temperature was 35.5°C.
