Bilateral Transcutaneous Electroacupuncture for Overdilation of Gastric Tube after Esophagectomy： Report of A Case

A gastric tube is the commonly used replacementof esophagus after esophagectomy. The mainlycomplications of this reconstruction method that arereported are tube necrosis, mediastinitis, bleeding,pneumonia, pneumothorax, subphrenic abscess,empyema, anastomotic fistula and atelectasis.Atelectasis induced by overdilation of gastric tube wasrarely reported in literature. We are now reporting acase of atelectasis after esophagectomy compressedby overdilated gastric tube displayed an unexplaineddyspnea. The case was finally diagnosed by computedtomography （CT） scan and was successfully treatedby bilateral transcutaneous electroacupuncture （EA）.
