Prevalence of sarcopenia and associated factors in the healthy older adults of the Peruvian Andes

Highlights • The exponential growth in the elderly population in Peru needs attention. • No data of sarcopenia are available for subjects living in a rural Andean region. • Our study shows that the prevalence of sarcopenia was 14.9%. • Several factors associated with sarcopenia were founded.
