Zusammenfassung:Highlights • This study proposes a novel method to segment individual tooth from dental CT images scanned with contacts of maxillary and mandible teeth. • The Radon transform is applied to extract a line to separate neighboring teeth into independent ones. • A parameter adaptive selection scheme is developedto determine the parameters of hybrid level set model adaptively accordingtothe image data. • Contacted maxillary and mandible teeth are separated from reconstructed mesh model using threshold segmentation and fast marching watershed method.
