Zusammenfassung:Highlights • Multiple species of pathogens responsible for reproductive failures have found in a canine population of bitches and their stillborn puppies in Brazil. • Toxoplasma gondii was the most common pathogen responsible for the transplacental transmission to puppies followed by Brucella canis and Neospora caninum. • Transplacental transmission of Ehrlichia canis was not observed in puppies despite acute or chronic infection detected in the bitches.
