Radiative Transfer and Cloud Droplet Growth

Two papers, Roach (1976) and Barkstrom (1978), estimating the significance of radiative transfer on cloud (or fog) droplet growth have recently appeared. While their principal conclusions are in broad quantitative agreement, the differences of emphasis that exist are discussed.
