Zusammenfassung: | ABSTRACT
This paper presents the design, fabrication, and measurement of a novel ultra‐wideband (UWB) fractal monopole antenna. This antenna uses trapezoidal shapes with hexagonal slots to achieve highly Ultra‐Wideband characteristics. The antenna is practically fabricated and tested. Measured results show a good agreement with simulated results and demonstrate that the proposed fractal antenna provides an ultra bandwidth of about 126% ranging from 3.1 to 13.67 GHz for the reflection coefficient less than −10 dB, outperforming the basic hexagonal design.
