Zusammenfassung: | The Colorado River Municipal Water District has sponsored a summertime West Texas cloud-seeding program to increase rainfall in each year since 1970. Because of the program's longevity, it was evaluated utilizing established statistical techniques. Based on a double-ratio test, Student's t-test, regression analysis and Wilcoxon Matched-Pairs Signed-Ranks test, results suggest that the District realized an increase in seasonal rain during the normal and wet seasons. This may have produced an economical benefit to the District and the Big Spring community. |
