Zusammenfassung:The aim of this study was to research the correlation between work-related injuries, burnout syndrome and PTSD symptoms among ambulance personnel. The study population consisted of 253ambulance personnel. The method used for the recording of the elements was the collection of anonymous questionnaires, the completion of which was optional. The questionnaires used are: a) a work-related injuries questionnaire (WRIs) which was created by the researchers, b) the Burnout Inventory (MBI), c) the IES-R-Gr and the d) PTSD-10.The statistical analyses used were frequencies, chi-square, t- test, ANOVA and multivariate logistic regression analyses. Factor that affects WRIs are burnout, PTSD symptoms, age, work experience and physical condition. Relationships were found between PTSD symptoms, burnout, WRIs, physical condition and family status. The most traumatic event was the 'dealing with death or rescue of a child' and the top stress factors were 'pressure about the responsibility for quality of victims' life' and 'pressure about traffic /transportation time'. Judging from the results, it becomes that the occupational obligations are responsible for psychological and musculoskeletal problems. Conclusively, ambulance personnel are influenced psychosomatically. The immediate recognition and solution of the corresponding health problems by specialists is considered very important.
