Zusammenfassung: | Highlights • We analyzed the impact of the International Nosocomial Infection Control Consortium multidimensional infection control approach on central line–associated bloodstream infection. • We used the International Nosocomial Infection Control Consortium Surveillance Online System in 2,988 intensive care unit patients in 2 cities of Colombia. • The central line–associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI) rate was reduced by 73%, from 12.9 to 3.5 CLABSIs per 1,000 central line days. |
