Zusammenfassung: | The variable source area model of storm flow generation (VSAS2) had been adapted to simulate snowmelt runoff in the forested Lac Laflamme basin, P.Q. Use of the simulator indicated that the processes producing average flows in early spring could be represented by the variable source area concept. Failures of the simulator always corresponded to the period when bare ground began to appear in the basin, but when the bare ground was treated as impervious surface in the simulation, the model gave good performance for spring peak flows. Aspects on which further study was required are indicated. There are 30 references. |
