15-3: Invited Paper: Liquid Crystal Technologies Towards Realising a Field Sequential Colour (FSC) Display
In modern liquid crystal displays the use of RGB filters significantly reduces the maximum possible light efficiency. We present a number of technologies that would enable field sequential driving (FSC) to be realized. A FSC backlight system would increase efficiency and reduce power consumption.
