Zusammenfassung:Henry Neville's "News from the New Exchange, or The Commonwealth of Ladies, Drawn to the LIfe, in their Several Characters and Concernments" shed new light on Restoration courtier playwright and playhouse manager Thomas Killigrew's movements from 1643 until his arrival in Italy in 1647. It turns out that Killigrew had moved to Jersey some time after being released from prison on July 27, 1643. According to Neville's account, Killigrew did not sail to France with Queen Henrietta Maria in 1644 as surmised by biographer Alfred Harbage, but instead left later from Jersey to Italy partly on a private mission for Lady Devonshire.
