Zusammenfassung: | An overview is presented of the science of global climatic change. Examples are cited, illustrating the increased understanding of those atmospheric processes that affect carbon dioxide, methane, CFCs, nitrous oxide, and tropospheric ozone. Even though atmospheric scientific knowledge is far from complete, enough evidence exists to suggest that global climate change will strongly affect a wide range of sectors of the national and international community. The sensitivity of all these sectors to climatic changes can now be assessed, enabling future policy options to be evaluated. |
