Zusammenfassung:Stefano Volpi (c. 1585-1642) was a painter of some renown in Siena during the 1620s and 1630s. The author's research into his artistic career has shown that he played an important role in the workshop of Alessandro Casolani (c. 1552-1607). Volpi's painting influences can be recognized in his drawings. Several important new sheets, until now attributed to artists who had inspired him, are introduced.
