Zusammenfassung: | A new synthetic approach to the incorporation of an alkynyl group into pentacyclic triterpenoids was developed and utilized to prepare C(2)-propargyl derivatives of lupane- and ursane-type triterpenoic acids. Novel triterpenoid derivatives with a propynyl group at the C(2) atom were successfully used for click chemistry bioconjugation with glucopyranoside azides.
