Reports on the results of their investigation of the transmission of the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana (B. bassiana) in Pinus radiata (P. radiata). Examines whether this fungus, while acting as an endophyte, was beneficial to this tree species. Details the testing of the effect of B. bassiana on above- and below-ground insect feeders. Comments that Beauveria spp. Vuillemin occurs commonly and could be used in a cost-effective way to control insect pests in commercially-grown trees.
