[...]the American geriatric emergency guidelines have recommended the screening of any high-risk medications using explicit criteria for all elderly patients presenting to the ED, regardless of the presenting complaint [6] . Considering that previous studies have reported a high frequency of adverse drug event nonrecognition at EDs [10] , it is likely difficult for emergency physicians to recognize and modify PIMs in busy environments without help.
