Zusammenfassung: | The Carbon and Climate in Boreal Forest model is used to examine the impact of climate change on forests in Russia. The approach involves simulation of the forest carbon budget, using the following data: parameters of influence on climate changes on forests, areas and structure of forests, rates of different forest processes, and climate change. In input data are described, and modeling results are presented for the years 2000, 2010, and 2020. The current carbon dioxide sink for Russian forests is estimated at 160 Mt C/yr, which should increase in the future. The influence of global warming will be felt most in South Siberia and in the European Ural region. |
