Use of plasma preparations to provide passive immunity in calves

There is a good reason for this, as the oral feeding of blood products or their derivatives to cattle has been prohibited since then, currently under Regulation (EC) 1069/2009 EC By-Products Control Regulation, implemented under Regulation (EC) 1421/2011 Animal By-Products (Enforcement) Regulation.
