Zusammenfassung: | The present study examined the effect of some work horses husbandry practices on their live weight, body condition and field performance when ploughing. The research adopted the cross-sectional design on a sample of 90 farmers randomly selected from 10 villages. Field data were collected using formal survey questionnaire and direct field measurements. Dependency between husbandry practices and field performance was tested using the chi square test. The results showed that husbandry practices were less than optimal which reflected on horses' live weight.
