Microglia activation is associated with IFN-α induced depressive-like behavior

Highlights • IFN-α induces depressive-like behavior in mice. • IFN-α enhances the expression of MHC-II, CD86, and CD54 in the microglia. • MHC-II and CD86 expression is specifically associated with depressive-like behavior.
