Zusammenfassung: | The chemical composition of the essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation from the aerial parts of Salvia rhytidia was analyzed by employing GC-MS technique. During the pre flowering and flowering period, two oils: Salvia rhytidia Benth collected in July 2005 and May2006 from Taftan, Iran. 23components (85. 36%) of the total oil were identified in the essential oil of S. rhytidia collected in July2005flowering. The main components of this oil were alpha -terpinolen (32. 06%), sabinene (13. 01%), J-terpinyl acetate (10. 30%), 51 components (98. 45%) of the total oil were identified in the essential oil of S. rhytidia collected in May 2006 (before flowering ). The main components of this oil were alpha - terpinolen (36. 56%), sabinene (5. 61%), germacrene D (15. 09%), Limonene (5. 82%), alpha -copaene (5. 26%). |
