Geomagnetic variations due to changes in the hydrological regime of a fracture zone

The geomagnetic field contains information about the geodynamic processes that occur in the regions of the Earths crust located close to the surface [1, 2]. Development of the approaches to establish quantita tive relations between the parameters of the geody namic processes and geomagnetic variations is inter esting from the point of view of developing new meth ods and improving the traditional methods and means for the diagnostics of the geodynamic state of the Earths crust and individual massifs of the rocks based on analysis of geophysical fields of various nature. The results of instrumental observations provide evidence about the possible influence of the groundwater level on geomagnetic variations [3] at the surface of the Earths crust.
