Zusammenfassung:Study of the kimberlite melt viscosity at high pres sures and temperatures corresponding to the parameters of the Earths upper mantle is an important task. This is explained by development of the geodynamic models of matter transport in the crust and upper mantle and by improvement of the methods for searching for diamonds. Experimental study of the rheological properties of subliquidus heterogeneous (liquid + crystals + gas) melts (including the kimber lite melt) is of special importance. With account for significant deviations in the theoretical estimates of viscosity of heterogeneous media and the complexity of theoretical calculations, it is very important to improve the experimental methods of viscosity study. This requires experimental investigations aimed at estimation of the kimberlite melt viscosity.
