The specific charge of saltation sand particles in arid territories

An estimate of the specific charge of saltation sand particles in arid territory has been obtained, including with the alternating sign of saltation electric currents taken into account. Based on the measurements data, the observed specific charge of sand particles in the lower saltation layer within sandy territory near the Volga River is 33 C/kg, on average, while the restored specific charge of positively changed sand particles is up to 44 C/kg, on average. It has been shown that interlevel correlations between moduli of the electric current density upon saltation in the near surface layer of the atmosphere are more clustered than interlevel correlations between the electric current density values.
