Zusammenfassung:Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) is an experimental technique used in chromosome analysis. In situ hybridization (ISH) for chromosomes has been used for over 40 years. The development of a non-radioactive fluorescent detection system enabled the identification of multiple specific nucleotide sequences on chromosomes. Multi-probe detection further increased the speed of chromosome analysis. Here, we describe the use of FISH in plant chromosomes, from the labelling of the probes to multi-color detection and the creation of multi-color FISH images.
