Zusammenfassung: | In spite of improvements in continuous peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) techniques, such as disconnect systems, peritonitis remains an important reason for method conversion. The most common causative organisms include Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, and Escherichia coli; however, 10 to 15% of cases are "culture negative." We report a case of CAPD peritonitis caused by an unusual organism. |
