Three-Dimensional Angiographic Evaluation of Middle Cerebral Artery Trunk Aneurysms: Demonstration of the Close Relationship between the Early Frontal Cortical Branches and Lateral Lenticulostriate Arteries

Highlights 1. This study evaluated the angiographic relationship between the early frontal cortical branch and lateral lenticulostriate arteries in middle cerebral artery trunk aneurysm. 2. Early frontal cortical branch aneurysms show a close relationship with the lenticulostraiate arteries. 3. Pre-...

Zusammenfassung:Highlights 1. This study evaluated the angiographic relationship between the early frontal cortical branch and lateral lenticulostriate arteries in middle cerebral artery trunk aneurysm. 2. Early frontal cortical branch aneurysms show a close relationship with the lenticulostraiate arteries. 3. Pre-treatment identification of the origin of the lenticulostriate arteries is important to obviated any perforator injury in early frontal cortical branch aneurysms.
