Zusammenfassung: | This investigation records the folk conceptualization of the living world with special reference to classification of plants. Six life form categories are described along with characters of typical instances. Below the major folk taxonomic life forms, categories occur that in some cases correspond to botanical rank of genus. The meaning of 43 local names are given, of which the base meaning of 23 species is utility, 12 is morphology, seven is ecology and five is chemistry. |
