Zusammenfassung:[...]management of cardiac tumours will be discussed. Endomyocardial diseases, such as endomyocardial fibrosis and hypereosinophilic syndrome, are also predisposing risk factors for left ventricular thrombus formation. 23 24 Right heart thrombi have been observed in patients with central venous lines, vascular catheters, tricuspid valve prostheses or in the setting of pulmonary embolism (deep vein thrombosis with 'migrating cardiac thrombi').\n In the setting of subdiaphragmatic tumours, like renal carcinoma, hepatocarcinoma and ovarian carcinoma, surgery aims to combine removal of primary lesion and its possible extension to the inferior vena cava and right atrium. 86 The overall survival of patients with primary malignant cardiac tumours remains poor with a median survival of primary cardiac sarcomas from 6 months to 18 months.
