Zusammenfassung: | Effectively controlling both the damaging bacterial diseases as well as the numerous fungal diseases that affect tomatoes, peppers, cucurbits and other vegetables is a difficult challenge for growers. Tanos, a new fungicide from DuPont, currently is registered in the U.S. for use on tomatoes, peppers, cucurbits and head lettuce. Tanos offers broad-spectrum disease control and strong residual properties with high resistance to washoff. In addition to control of fungal diseases, Tanos complements the activity of copper hydroxide and EBDC fungicides like mancozeb and maneb in suppressing bacterial diseases in tomatoes, peppers and cucurbits. A vegetable disease management program combining Tanos with other fungicides with diverse modes of action broadens the spectrum of fungal and bacterial disease control, increases efficacy and consistency of performance as well as reduces the risk of fungicide resistance development. |
