Zusammenfassung:CT-PET is a multimodality imaging technique which diagnostic utility has been demostrated especially in oncology and neurosciences. There is about 100 equipments of this modality in Spain. MRI-PET ia a new multimodality imaging technique recently installed in Spain. Its main advantages over CT-PET are: the reduction in the absorbed dose of radiations and the better contrast between normal and pathological tissues, especially in soft tissue tumors and neurological disorders.
