Zusammenfassung: | The composition of the essential oil of anise hyssop [Agastache foeniculum (Pursh) Kuntze] plants grown at Bangalore (India) was investigated by GC and GC–MS. The essential oils obtained from hydrodistillation of aerial parts of plants harvested at two plant growth stages, at the end of the vegetative stage and at full bloom, were found to contain methyl chavicol (91.7% and 95.2%) and limonene (3.6% and 3.9%) as the major constituents.
