Zusammenfassung:The heat capacity of SmPO sub(4) was measured by adiabatic calorimetry at 10-346 K. Thermodynamic functions of Sm orthophosphate at 10-1600 K were calculated based on our experimental and available literature data. The Gibbs energy of Sm orthophosphate formation is Delta sub( )fG super(0)(298.15 K) - Delta sub( )fG super(0)(10 K) = -1844.7 plus or minus 2.4 kJ mol super(-1).
