NUCLEAR ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT: Are present safeguards adequate?
NUCLEAR energy has been used to generate electricity on a commercial scale for about two decades, and it is estimated that it will constitute between 11 and 13 per cent of the world's total electricity generating capacity by 1985 and 20 per cent by the year 2000.
