Ducie Atoll: Its history, physiography and biota

The flora and fauna of the lagoon, channels and the ocean reef of Ducie Atoll (24{degree}40'S, 124{degree}47'W) are described together with terrestrial life. It is noted that the most striking feature about the lagoon was its paucity of fauna and flora. A spp list of birds, reptiles, fishes, insects, Crustacea, marine molluscs, echinoderms and corals present on and around the atoll is included.
