Zusammenfassung:Temperature and chemical stress to aquatic organisms are discussed. Aquatic animals and their response to ammonia, cyanide, trace metals, cadmium, copper, pesticides, chlorine, and other miscellaneous toxicants are detailed. In the research done so far, the effects of temperature on the toxicity of Chemicals to microorganisms have caused no major damage, but published information on the subject is scarce and more research must be done before final conclusions can be reached. Toxicants inhibit growth about equally at all temperatures, only slightly more at suboptimal and supraoptimal temperatures.
