Zusammenfassung:The purpose of this study was to: (1) examine the levels of organochlorine insecticides, PCB's and mercury in water, bottom sediments, fish and birds in the Lake Poinsett, South Dakota ecosystem, (2) determine whether or not biological concentration was occurring and, (3) report the distribution of these compounds in various tissues. The results obtained from this study are discussed.
