Zusammenfassung:Two mesenchymal polyps arising from the visceral mass in the gut loop area of Pinctada margaritifera had normal low columnar ciliated and pigmented epithelium and associated secretory cells. The stroma of both tumors was richly vascularized with well differentiated tissue of scattered muscle fibers in a collagenous matrix. No inflammation was evident.
